The Mount Washington Observatory has been monitoring the elements from atop the northeast's highest peak since 1932. A non-profit, member-supported organization, the Observatory conducts weather observation, scientific research and programs of weather education. The "Obs" also operates the Weather Discovery Center in North Conway, a hands-on science museum and gift shop, and produces The Weather Notebook, a nationally syndicated radio program. www.mountwashington.org
